Chris, are you using the latest JTOpen version?  If so, I suggest you go to
the following page and report your problem.  The JTOpen team is very
responsive to these kinds of things.

I'm sure you'll get an explanation here as well - the issue of requiring an
AS400 for AS400Text has been bounced around many times.  Personally, I get
confused as to whether there would be a better way of handling it, such as
setting a static object with the appropriate information for those of us who
know we're only going to talk to one host.
