As it is servlet based you can run it using Websphere or any application server. The beauty of Cocoon is the separation between data: stored in XML files and the presentation logic: implemented in xsl. You can generate the output you want with XSL: html, pdf, wap, whatever. Once installed, Cocoon handles any http request to an XML file. As a result, with the same data you can apply any presentation logic.
