Accessing data in a file containing a dot. -- JAVA400-L

I am getting desperate.  I have data stored in a file called "AB.PO".  I need to
access it, but when I try to select  from the table, it thinks AB is a library
name, and not part of the file name.  How can I access the data in this file?
