You can change JDK versions with the Java property java.version. For
example, in QSH, you should be able to call

java -Djava.version=1.2 MyJavaProgram

To run MyJavaProgram with JDK 1.2 (assuming JDK 1.2 is installed). There
is only one Toolbox JDBC driver. It supports all supported releases so as
long as your jt400.jar file is found (by any means), it will work with JDK
1.2 (assuming you have a recent version of it). The Native JDBC driver
works the same way.

If you plan to regularly use the Toolbox classes, I suggest creating a
symlink to it in /QIBM/UserData/Java400/ext. Everything in that directory
(either there directly or there because it has a symlink there) will
automatically be found when you run your program.

Subject: Toolbox

On AS400, if our CLASSPATH does not have jt400.jar. which property file the
VM uses to search for the Toolbox JDBC dirver? How could we change from
jdk1.18 to jdk1.2 when we start QSH?

Thanks.
CL
