To narrow down what the WAS 2.0 problem may be, I suggest starting the http server with -vv (dash vee vee) as the instance startup variable on STRTCPSVR. Restart the http server and inspect the spool file to see if anything in this file sheds more light on the problem. You might also want to post the contents of your http configuration file, at least the WebSphere related directives and other PASS/MAP/FAIL directives.
