I appreciate your input Larry, and I think discussions of null pointers and
array indexing and "private" and "static" all belong wonderfully in the new
JAVA101-L list.  And now that we have such a list, I think we can focus this
particular list on those things it needs to cover, such as interfacing a
Java UI with an RPG back end, or using persistent session information in an
application, or designing stateless servers.

Also, anything at all having to do with the IBM JDK, WebSphere, or WebSphere
Studio are all welcome here.  Use of JDBC to access DB2/400 data, although
not particularly a fond subject for me, is an obvious use of this space.
Also, implementing any of the extended Java packages, such as JavaMail, on
the AS/400.  I suspect there will also, as the year wears on, be a
burgeoning discussion of using Java to communicate between an OS/400
partition and a Linux partition.

That's where I'd like to see this particular list go.  More basic questions
of RPG vs. Java and basic Java syntax can be discussed on JAVA101-L.  The
combination of the two should be enough for anybody's tastes.
