I'm sorry you take comparing RPG to Java as an insult.  I had no idea you
felt so strongly about that.  Honestly.  I don't add smiley's because I know
it's annoying.  I add them because most of the readers of this list are
those making the RPG to Java transition and any comparison to something
familiar (the familiar being RPG) helps.  I metioned *PSSR because most use
it to save time and/or catch errors.  We have quite a few applications that
use the *PSSR subroutine to catch errors softly, and it works great
(especially for record locks).
