If you want to save your Java source files on an AS/400, I suggest you store them in an IFS directory and use the EDTF command to edit them. I store mine in a directory called "javasrc" and can use a command like "EDTF '/javasrc/SendFile.java'" to edit them, if necessary. However, at present I'm just using the AS/400 as a backup place to store the source until I get a solid source control methodology, and I'm compiling the source on my PC. (newbee question) Although I have a favorite Java IDE, I decided to learn how to code Java as a TXT file using the SEU (just in case I'm ever in a crunch). My problem is that the square brackets keys on the keyboard don't result in square brackets. I've tried from different keyboards without success. How do I code square brackets using the SEU? Thanks for any help.
