RE: square brackets in SEU? (newbee question)

At last!  A question I can understand (and answer!!!)

Depending on your emulator your steps will be different, but the idea is to
go to the keyboard map and make the keys act the way you want them to.  I
have Express set up and here's how I get to it:

alt+space - bring up the menu
  Popup menu bar
    File
      Edit
        Preferences
          Keyboard
        Customize
              Press the left bracket key to see the current mapping
              Select the left bracket from the "Character" box
              Click the current action you want to map it to - I use Base.
              repeat for the other key
                File
                  Save As...
...your own map and off you go.  When I need to use the square brackets I
press the appropriate key.  If I need the goofy characters, I hold down Alt
whilst pressing the bracket keys.
