It is required in JavaScript to turn a function into a method. The more you
learn Java, the more you'll appreciate that JavaScript and Java are totally
different.

Ok, thanks!  I am using "this" because of some other examples I was given.
I suppose it's a readability thing.  I am used to using it in JavaScript as
well.
