As I recall, WAS uses a strategy much like Apache (minimum threads, etc.) I
set it up on my linux box a while back, but the experience was less than
satisfactory... I installed Tomcat last week :-)

Wow!  That is impressive (if the performances is similar from 1 request up
to 5000 simultaneous requests).

I also am still wondering if Apache and Websphere start more CGI processing
jobs when needed like the HTTP server.  ANyone?  Bueller...  Maybe they
handle it some other way?
