This is way cool! I didn't realize there was inheritance... has this been in the language from the beginning? Anyway, I'm going to pursue this a little farther, folks, because there is a HUGE wealth of Perl stuff out there. And if Perl works on the AS/400, then there may be some things we can steal <grin>.
