To continue this well off topic (and not even close to the subject line) but 
interesting line ...

After the war (which war? Why the important one of course!) the British 
Government passed Enigma machines on to the Government's of the various 
Commonwealth countries while still maintaining the secret that they'd 
cracked the code.  For about 20 years the Brits were reading all the 
supposed secret communications between Commonwealth Governments.

Don't trust no-one!
