Another possibility. When you use explorer (at least on NT) what is first
created is a folder called "New Folder". The name comes up editable so
when you type the real name the directory gets renamed and you get what you
want. "New Folder" is not a valid folder name in the QDLS name space. Try
creating the folder in a dos box. If that works then this is probably the
problem.

If you are using NetServer, make sure the share is read/write not read
only.

Subject: Access denied on IFS

I am new at using the IFS and I have a problem. I can create folders from
an AS400 session but not in Windows 98 explorer. I am able to map the
as400 as a network drive.

When I try to create a new folder under \QDLS I get a message box saying
"Access denied".

What should I do?
