Another possibility. When you use explorer (at least on NT) what is first created is a folder called "New Folder". The name comes up editable so when you type the real name the directory gets renamed and you get what you want. "New Folder" is not a valid folder name in the QDLS name space. Try creating the folder in a dos box. If that works then this is probably the problem. I can create folders from an AS400 session but not in Windows 98 explorer. I am able to map the as400 as a network drive. When I try to create a new folder under \QDLS I get a message box saying "Access denied". What should I do? +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +--- +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
