Actually, as soon as I posted that I had a better idea.  I'm grabbing
a connection from the pool once when the user logs in and then passing
it around from JSP to JSP as a session attribute.  Since the connections
in the pool are already established, wouldn't I be better off grabbing
one on each JSP and freeing it before moving to the next page?  The 
application is order entry, and there is a lot of validation as the user 
moves from page to page.
