Then I am pretty sure it is the fact that the QEJBSVR user profile is shipped with no password. By 3.0.2 and higher, I meant 3.5 and higher as well. When you specify *CURRENT, you use the user profile the app srever is running under - by default this is QEJBSVR. If you do not want to set the password for QEJBSVR, you should look into running the application server under a different user profile (which has QEJBSVR specified as its group profile). See the on-line product documentation center for details on how to do this - I can't find the specific link right now (network down) but if you search on "operations navigator" you should find the information. We are using Websphere 3.5.2. I am trying to display the servlet on the browser "http:\\SystemName\ServletName". It prompts for a Userid and Password to be entered. My problem is with trapping the Userid and password entered, into the As400 Object. I don't want the userid prompted for every AS400 object created. The Servlet works only if I supply the userid and password. I get a password not set error, when I use *current. > Naveen Dass > +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +--- +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
