Then I am pretty sure it is the fact that the QEJBSVR user profile is
shipped with no password. By 3.0.2 and higher, I meant 3.5 and higher as
well. When you specify *CURRENT, you use the user profile the app srever is
running under - by default this is QEJBSVR.  If you do not want to set the
password for QEJBSVR, you should look into running the application server
under a different user profile (which has QEJBSVR specified as its group
profile). See the on-line product documentation center for details on how
to do this - I can't find the specific link right now (network down) but if
you search on "operations navigator" you should find the information.

We are using Websphere 3.5.2. I am trying to display the servlet on the
browser "http:\\SystemName\ServletName". It prompts for a Userid and
Password to be entered. My problem is with trapping the Userid and password
entered, into the As400 Object. I don't want the userid prompted for every
AS400 object created.  The Servlet works only if I  supply the userid and
password. I get a password not set error, when I use *current.
