Hi, We are developing java based application. The programs access DB2/400 thru as400JDBC driver. One connection to the database is made at user login. This connection is used by all calling programs for accessing data from the database. I face the following problem - We continously insert/update records into a physical file. After a few records, Insert/Update fails. Now to enter a record we need to exit out of the whole application. 'wrkobjlck' on the file shows that for each update/insert a shared lock is made. I tried an explicit commit. But the lock remains. This is what the wrkobjlck sceen shows - Opt Job User Lock Status Scope Thread QZDASOINIT QUSER *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB *SHRRD HELD *JOB Can anybody suggest a solution for this problem.
