Sorry - picked this chain up halfway along!
My previous email describes what I did to achieve exactly this. The code I
was working on allows you to select db2, as400 (Toolbox) or odbc (JDBC-ODBC
Bridge) and runs fine on PC (where you can choose only as400 or odbc) &
AS/400 (where you can choose only db2 or as400).

Thanks for the info.
I intend to run my java program on AS400 but I want to compile the code on
a
PC and then move the class file to AS400. Can I compile a java file that
uses the native JDBC driver com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver on PC?
