The Toolbox driver is "com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver". The Toolbox
driver is the one you want to use in client/server environment. It is in
file jt400.jar. The driver you reference is the native JDBC driver which
is useful when your Java program is running on the AS/400's JVM.

Subject: Where is the class com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver?

I compiled the following code on as400 OK but I can not compile it on PC. I
have moved all the jar files that I could find on my as400 to PC. (I can
compile many other java files involving jt400 on my PC).

import java.sql.*;
  public class ajdbc   {
     Connection conn;
     PreparedStatement pstmt;
      public static void main(String args[])         {
          try           {
           DriverManager.registerDriver(new
com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver());
          ?..

This is the error I got when I try to compile the above code on PC.

Class com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver not found in type declaration.
           DriverManager.registerDriver(new
com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver());
                                                                        ^

Thanks.
