You can also define the class to websphere through the 9090 port.  You
should be able to load and unload classes there, although I welcome anyone
to tell me why this doesn't specifically work.  I have tried it and it seems
to work, but shortly thereafter I started doing my testing with Java Web
Server on my desktop before moving things up.  With Java Web Server you can
also define the servlet to the web server, and do the same load and unload.

Put your servlet in the path that WebSphere designates as the re-load
directory.
WebSphere will detect a changed class file in certain directories and reload
the
servlet. I found it in one of the books and have used it before. I know that
on my
machine it is the \QIBM\ProdData\IBMWebAs\servlets directory. I don't
remember if I set this up or it was the default. Also try going into the
admin page,
unloading the servlet and then reloading it.
