Hello, In order to work both with Java 2 and with the AS/400 we recently "upgraded" to VAJ 3.5 EE. We waited for Patch 1 since the shipping version of VAJ 3.5 EE does not work with the AS/400. However, immediately after upgrading and applying the patch we started to get the following message repeatedly when using the VCE. > "A Java program is not responding. Do you want to continue to > wait or do you want to stop the program? > While waiting the user interface may be unresponsive. > Do you want to stop the Java program?" Patch APAR JR15078 (Patch 1 for VAJ 3.5) was supposed to fix this problem but did not. I am unsure if the patch fixed the AS/400 problems. We even reinstalled VAJ 3.5 from scratch, applied the patch, connect to the repository, and reloaded our classes and it still failed. In almost every instance when we use the VCE we get the above message repeatedly. What's going on? Our project uses Swing extensively and we absolutely need the VCE to work! Any suggestions or new patches? How can we test if the AS/400 part of the patch worked? Also, how can one be sure that the patch was applied correctly? Is there a dialog, build number, or some other clue that the patch was applied properly? /Timothy Sullivan tsullivan@computer-guidance.com (602)468-7575 #8548 +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
