Very interesting - I don't see it out on IBM's website when browsing PTF cover letters. Is this a test PTF?

Dave,
We ordered it through ECS. You can download a 300M service pack but not a
30M ptf. This holds true even if you order it on the web. I can't remember the
exact cutoff, but I think it is 2M. We are using V4R4 here. I remember reading
that this affects V4R5 also.

How did you get MF25154. I tried downloading it but am unable. What

D,
To run WebSphere or Java you have to be very current on PTFs. On our
system,
we had problems with WebSphere 3.02 looping but this is supposedly a JDK
problem
(only causes problems in WebSphere on our system). We have a PTF that is
supposed
to fix the problem and just applied it yesterday. It is MF25154. So far we
haven't tested it.
The best source AS/400 WebSphere information is the redbook website. You
should
find quite a few AS/400 specific getting started books for standard and
advanced editions.
