You can also imbed a link in the HTML, using a query string to pass the
parameter to the next servlet (like this: <A
href=http://myserver/servlet/productDetail?productid=mypartnumber>mypartnumb
er</a>

for the productDetail servlet, use a line like

String productID = req.getParameter("productid");

where req is the HTTPServletRequest and productid is the parameter on the
query string.

Not as pretty and Tom's solution, but it'll get you there....

Subject: Cell contents from a table

I am creating an HTML table with a servlet. My question:::: Is it
possible to capture the contents of a column of cells, for example the
first column is part number. I would like the user to be able to click on
the part number in that cell and reference another page from that part
number. If anyone has an example snippet of code I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
Tom
