Something similar I knocked up is below. Just do a {bigDecimal}.toString() &
pass
the resultant string inot this method. specifying the total length of field
required (length)
public String formatString(String s, int length) {
int i , j;
StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer();
i = s.length();
if (length > i) {
for (j = i; j < length ; j++) { sb.append("0"); }
for (j = 0 ; j < i ; j++){ sb.append(s.charAt(j)); }
}
}
else { return(s); }
return(sb.toString());
}
