Thank you for your kind words. I'm about to start on phase two of the architecture, which will support indicators and subfiles (I already have a subfile prototype working - you can see it at http://www.java400.net/mc/mc200007). The book on revitalization (entitled "e-Deployment: The Fastest Path to the Web"), which details the entire architecture from conception to implementation, will be available in October. As to your question, you've got a slight misunderstanding. While only values 0-24 are returned (meaning the Enter key, then F1 through F24), all indicators are passed TO the data queue. The current API doesn't support the indicator array (because it's a little bit of a pain to code - in RPG III it requires a MOVEA before and a MOVEA after the call to the API), but the message structure already has the indicator array in place. The phase two architecture, which I should be releasing in about a month, will have the indicators in place. If you look at the actual code, the PBD packages already have some classes defined to support indicators, conditions (multiple indicator combinations) and field attributes - they just aren't implemented yet. It'll be no problem to attach conditions to the function keys. Joe Pluta www.java400.net www.plutabrothers.com --------- Hi friends, I was going through Revitalization as proposed by Pluta brothers, it is a brilliant work, I just have one small doubt...how will this architecture handle say ..... (DDS sample) A 99N89 CF14 A 99 CF15 , because only indicators 1 to 24 are passed as the parameter to the Data Queue? and the indicators that are actually controlling the CF14 and CF15 are indicators 99 and 89 End of transmission ...Beeeeeeeppp.. +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
