Thanks for your answer. I'm sorry it's not the problem. I wrote in my first e-mail the config.sys includes "shell=c:\command.com /p /e:32000". I also tried "... /e:96000" and the error still occurs. Be sure the location of command.com is referenced appropriately (ie, ensure its in the root if you the code as shown). 32000 is arbitrary and can be less or more, but 32000 works for me and VAJ just fine. If you don't have a config.sys, add one. This is an old DOS trick for expanding the environment and is just what you need. Leave to IBM to suggest reinstalling Win95. Remember, the number one criteria that IBM used to measure tech support is how quickly they can hang up the phone. rp +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +--- +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
