  • Subject: JDBC database viewer?

Hi David.

I don't know of one that is web-based yet.
I have developed a decent one for Smalltalk Windows client / server
environments with AS/400.
I'm rewriting it for Java and the web.

If you just want to look at any data in IBM DB2 UDB database with a simple,
default view, you can use
the DB2 graphical administrator for DB2 UDB on Common Servers.

IBM Rochester has the AS/400 SQL Developers Toolkit which contains the
green screen utiltiy:
STRQM (QueryManager) to view and update any file on your AS/400 using SQL
like syntax...
Alot of customers use that.

Also, look at Lotus Approach. I know it's very affordable and does a nice
job for any ODBC
or JDBC compliant database interactively. I don't know if the current
version is web-based though...

Folks:

Does anyone know of a good shareware / freeware JDBC database viewer /
manipulator?

I'm looking for a DBU or DFU like tool for JDBC databases.

Thanks!

david
