Hi luther/Richard,

        Yes, that's only a typo mistake, I believe we've applied the Web
Server and WS Application Server PTF's ( SF99026 & 27) but not the SF98440 &
SF99095, but we've loaded latest cum PTF immed after we shifted to V4R4. Is
there any way so that we can check these PTF's are available or not ? any
other way than DSPPTF.

        Here am using my own Configuration file for this Web Sphere Server ,
and My jvm.properties file points to this Configuration file instead of
CONFIG.MBR.

        Once I start my Webserver my server job sits in CNDW status. But, if
I start my DEFAULT instance before my Web Server instance then My Web server
job sits in SIGW status for a while and then shut downs automatically.

        When I test my WebSpehre Server using the URL:
http://yourServer:xxxx/servlet/HelloWorldServlet> from my IE 5 browser , I
get the following error ( as I mentioned earlier).

The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have been
removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Please try the following:
* If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it
is spelled correctly.
* Open the myas400.9090 <http://s102k9nm:9090> home page, and then
look for links to the information you want.
*       Click the javascript:history.back(1) <javascript:history.back(1)>
Back <javascript:history.back(1)> button to try another link.
* Click Error! Hyperlink reference not valid.Error! Hyperlink
reference not valid. to look for information on the Internet.

        In line 50, there is an extra "e" in "AdapteerInit" -- could that be
the
        problem, or is that just a typo when you copied the file to send as
email?

        Does your jvm.properties file have something like this:

ncf.native.httpd.cnf.path=/QSYS.LIB/QUSRSYS.LIB/QATMHTTPC.FILE/CONFIG.MBR
        ?

        Do you have the most recent WebSphere-related Group PTF(s)?
        * SF99026: 440 WebServer Group PTF
        * SF99027: 440 Websphere Application Server
        * SF99067: - R440 JAVA Group PTF Description: Java Fixes
        SF98440: Current Cumulative PTF Package 09/13/99 03:17 PM
        SF99095: 440 Hipers

        After you start WebSphere, do WRKACTJOB -- wait state is the server
in and
        what states does it change to? Does it stay up or shut down? Check
the logs
        in the subdirectories under /qibm/proddata/ibmwebas/logs

        hope that helps..

        Luther
