Serge, I agree with Luther. Simply fully qualify the library you need to access. I think the library naming scheme that can be included on the java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection method merely means that you can reference a table name without the library name. It's arguable that it's better to have the library name on the SQL statement as a way of self documenting the code. But just to be clear, is the example below the kind of thing you're talking about? dbConnect = java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:as400://" + systemName + "/LIB1,LIB2,LIB3;naming=sql;errors=full;date format=iso",userid,password); Also, check out this URL for possibly some insight: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/pubs/html/as400/ic2924/info/java/rzahh/JAVADOC /H4854.HTM Hope this helps.
