Whoops, spoke too soon. I was able to build the skel&stub for my class, but I
got the same exception as before on execution. It looks to me like it wants a
skeleton built over the java.rmi.server.RemoteObject class, but when I try this
I get:

Cannot change java.rmi.server 1.1.6 because it is required by the system.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

As a follow up to my earlier message, I just opened my VAJ EE box and
looked in the "Getting Started, Enterprise Edition" book.

On page 92, it seems to indicate that stubs and skeletons are only
generated when you create a server side proxy with the Create Proxy Bean
SmartGuide and check the "Create RMI stub and skeleton for generated
classes" check box.

If you don't do that, on page 93, it says you can select Tools | Remote
Method Invocation | Generate Proxies.

HTH,
Gary
