As a follow up to my earlier message, I just opened my VAJ EE box and looked in the "Getting Started, Enterprise Edition" book. On page 92, it seems to indicate that stubs and skeletons are only generated when you create a server side proxy with the Create Proxy Bean SmartGuide and check the "Create RMI stub and skeleton for generated classes" check box. If you don't do that, on page 93, it says you can select Tools | Remote Method Invocation | Generate Proxies.
