Sorry I made couple people up set. My personal opinions are 1/ Store procedure. It is just a program on AS/400. PC applications will call it to transfer data or/and to update AS/400 files. Registering to SYSPROCS, hornestly, I do not know what it is. And I did not do it so far. However, PC applications still can run my AS/400 programs. Put AS/400 programs on different machine is an option not a requirement. 2/ Trigger. I only said it is not widely accepted, but I did not mean it is bad. I extensively used case tools before trigger, referrence integrity and contrains implemented on AS/400 data base files. So I know some benefits of the trigger. +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
