The connection and applet would be on the company intranet. The only problem
I have is getting around the constraints that have been placed on me by the
company itself. They will not purchase the AS/400 Toolbox for Java. If I had
the ToolBox I could use the example out of June's Midrange Computing to make
the connection and just nest it in an applet. I am trying to come up with a
way to do this that is available with only what comes with Release V4R3. I do
have an .exe Visual Age for RPG program that I can call from my browser but
then I run into a problem when the CGI program returns a value that the
browser didn't expect. Basically I get this because I override the browser so
that it doesn't ask the user to download or run from its current location.

Thank you,

Dan Conte
