The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Just saw in Midrange Systems for Oct 24, page 3, a bit on WRQ getting a Java-based host access product out, with 5250 emulation next year.
This function is available right now, from IBM. It's a product called Host On Demand. Version 2 includes 5250 emulation but not file transfer or printing (yet, I hope). It is completely Java and is really slick, IMO. Unlike WSG, it has full function key capability. It talks to the TELNET server on the AS/400. I've been using a beta from a couple months ago, but it's in GA now for about $195 for first license, possibly $165 for additional licenses—check with IBM.
Version 1 is bundled with Netscape but is only 3270, although you can use it for AS/400, it's clunky at best.
It makes, IMO, a very nice alternative to Client Access or PerleTalk for remote connections to an AS/400.
Check it out at <http://www.networking.ibm.com/hex/hexprod_en.html>.
Cheers
