As a follow-on, here's the RPG code that supports the web service:

d HELLO pr EXTPGM('HELLO')
d Name 30
d Salutation 40

Salutation = 'Hello, ' + Name;

So, the output of the simple EGL program I showed in the previous post was this:

"Hello, Joe"
