I haven't used COBOL generation so I hesitate to assume anything. However, I can't see any technical reason why the generated code couldn't be called. In fact, EGL has the concept of a Service program; if that were extended to COBOL, then it would logically allow an EGL JSFHandler to call an EGL COBOL Service.
