My understanding of the archiving requirements follows:

Automatically archive and remove from mail file all mail older than 30 days.
Allow admin or designated other person(s) to search and retrieve archived
email as needed(i.e. past communications on specific topic are needed) - I'm
thinking this needs to be almost a query type of search and retrieval
function.

I know the native archive task can be setup to automatically archive, but
how sophisticated is the retrieval part ?

Have you tried native? It's free and included with the compact task. ;)

Subject: email archiving solution that runs on iSeries

I'm looking for an email archiving solution that will work with Domino 8.5.x
and hopefully run natively on the iSeries. Anyone have any experience with
a product that fits that description ?

Thanks,

Bob
