Rob, I have a program that I wrote that does scheduled automated tasks for
replicas. It creates replicas of databases in a directory and then turns
on DAOS, LZ1, document compression, data compression and a whole bunch of
other stuff. You just pick what directories and what servers you want the
databases replicated to.
I may just dump it on OpenNTF for the greater good. Interested in
something like that?

When we do a compact -A it puts an archive on our ARCHIVE1 server. The
file being compacted has DAOS enabled. The mail8.ntf template on ARCHIVE1
has daos enabled. However, the new archive does not have daos enabled
when it first creates it.
In the archive settings document
Server: ARCHIVE1/DEKKO
Template:
Change template server: ARCHIVE1/DEKKO
