To understand-
1. BES only runs on the windows platform as a Service < no plans on
others that I have heard>

The Standard process is install Domino on a Windows Server, then install
BES on Domino Server. ( not all that difficult)
You MUST have Address book replication between primary address book and
Domino Server where BES is running in order for BES/Berries to function.

As for iSeries, we accomplished this on our i550, by adding an IXS card
(you can run Windows 2003 Server) to our i5 Server.
You must allocate DASD, then install Windows OS, then install Domino, add
to Domino Domain, then install BES on Domino Server.

After this , users can be added at the BES level on the Domino Server where
BES is installed.

Good luck
