The Domino server reads a file /qibm/UserData/LOTUS/LOTUS_SERVERS
which defines every server on your system,
THIS IS A NOT A TEXT FILE

example file
************Beginning of data**************
SERVER=
TYPE=DOMINO/SAMETIME
DIRECTORY=/notes/data
SBSD=DOMINO01
PARTITION=1
LIBRARY=QDOMINO703
EXEPATH=/QIBM/PRODDATA/LOTUS/DOMINO703
CRTREL=7.0.3
CURREL=7.0.3
INFO=AUTOSTART=*NO;

If that file doesn't exist or is damaged, the server will report an error
on startup.

If the file doesn't exist

restore it from backup (DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CREATE MANUALLY)
