Why should a picture take up any more space than the "Buck Rodgers" logo,
etc?

I think the answer is that the letterhead is not sent with the email.
Apparently there's some simple text in the memo that says which letterhead

to use. Then it displays an image based on the recipients mail file. As
Walter said, if I want my recipients to see my picture in the letterhead
then I better modify the mail7.ntf (or other templates as necessary) and
apply those templates to all mail files on the server. Based on that
information, I think I'll pass.

On a related note, when I pull up my contact list in Sametime Connect
Client and start a chat with someone, I see something which looks like a
generic shading of a picture. How do I populate that picture with a
picture of that contact?
