The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I do know that he's trying to get away from SNDDST because he says that
there are limitations with SNADS that are preventing him from getting
where he's trying to go. The current working prototype is actually using
SNADS, but he can't use BCC or a number of other fields. And on the one
customer instance that has a Domino server, he cannot start native SMTP
because there's already an SMTP server running on port 25 (Domino). I
don't know anything about JavaMail.
Another option that has occurred to me, but we haven't investigated, is
starting native SMTP on a different port. That would probably be fine
because this will only be a sending server, never on the receiving end, so
it doesn't matter if it's on an unusual port.
I will check out your link, thanks for sharing.

Re: Integrating Domino into a home-grown iSeries app
Is there a reason to go through the Domino server for outbound email? What
does that bring to the party versus going from i5/os native email (like
SNDDST) or the JavaMail project?

See the subsection "Troubleshooting e-mail" for his current attempt.
