Tom, with Cher in mind, I turned back time (thanks by the way for getting 
that song into my head!!!).

Interesting note: when I opened a copy of the restored file, there were 81 
"Writes" in the user detail right when I opened it.
After changing my PC date, I opened the Trash and there were, you guessed 
it, 81 documents there.

So we know that the client opening a db will enforce the removal of 
soft-deleted documents...

I'll place a call with support sometime to see if there's a better way to 
do this. But to quote my director:

"Would you leave trash in your backyard for 2 weeks in the event that you 
may need something that you threw out? Why would you delete something that 
you possibly may need in the future?"

I didn't find anything that said exactly when/how the trash was emptied, 
but what is it is done by a view re-build, either by UPDALL or when you 
open the view? If so, what if you "turn back time" (in my best 'Cher' 
voice) on the PC before you open the database locally? Just be careful not 

open an server based databases while the clock is turned back. Just a 
guess.

I guess another question would be whether the receipt was in the trash. 
The user would have simply deleted it and waited for the Soft Deletion 
process to clear it from the trash. So, if he had deleted it on March 1st, 


it should have at least been in the trash for that nightly save. SOMETHING 


should have been in the trash... haha
