I don't know that there would be a way to force the server to ACK the message. That's merely a symptom of a problem that might be occurring. You need to determine the cause and resolve it. As I said earlier, the "cause" of our issue appears to have been a combination of a network issue (in our case, a bad cable) and a missing patch on the server, though we continue to have lingering reports of duplicate messages. The network timeouts appear to be resolved, finally. In your case, you indicated that you were going to address the patch. Have you or your network guys verified that communcation with the Domino server is clean? Now it shows up every 20 minutes or so. Patrick, you mentioned that the problem is the server is not getting an ACK that the email was delivered. How would I force that to happen? Also, you said yours stopped after 24 hours or so. I hope that is the case with mine. Any other ideas from the group would be appreciated. I opened a ticket with Lotus.
