If you are using a fractional processor (low end i520 gets only .22 or .41 CPU) then total will not match...... Well, no, that's one of the weird things, too. This is the first time I've really noticed that the sum of the CPU% seems to be well below the total CPU%. WRKSYSACT is new to me, I'll check it out. Right now, my Server task is above 58%. I have seen spikes before on my systems after moving them to a new box (same as you with the 95+ CPU). Mine would normally settle down after a bit. It was really strange. If you're sorting WRKACTJOB on CPU, do the high numbers account for your high CPU. If not, then you may need to do WRKSYSACT if you have it to see if a system job is causing it.
