SCT is also not recommended for Domino Web Access use, since it increases
bandwidth use.
However, use of DWA in a 100Mbit LAN works fine with SCT.

Re: Another Upgrade Question

No, Shared Mail is different, that is the separate database for
attachments.
This is "checkbox" in the template properties for a template database. The

idea is kind of similar, but while there are some gotcha's that you should

be careful with, you can "undo" your databases back to full templates.
There is also a very small amount of extra CPU consumed, or so I've read.

That isn't Shared Mail, is it?

Don't forget that with 6.x you can use a Single Copy Template, which will
drop the mail template down to around 1 megabyte.

How many users do you have? When we upgraded to 6.5.x, the mail template
size "got" us. The mail template doubled in size... so with 1000 users
and the template was 7mb and then jumped to 14mb.

Further questions:
First, if there is a site that can answer these, I will gladly stop
bothering you.

The 170 that we have has about 7-9GB of available DASD. If we upgrade
Domino to 6.5.1 and apply the v5r1 PTF's to it, how much DASD will be
left?
Then, moving forward, when we go to upgrade to v5r3, how much will we
need?
If we need to purchase additional DASD, now is the time, before we get
into
crunch time.

If we are running at 86-89% CPU Utilization under R5.0.12, will we see a
reduction in the R6.5.x world?

Thanks.

Gregg
