I've created a new server which is a first server in its own domain. This server is intended to support CA database processing so we can be our own cert authority for our domino mail server which is another domain on the same box. I used iSeries Navagator wizard to create the new server, started the server and ended it okay without managing to do any harm to my domino email server. I created the new server config document and used a lot of the parms from my email server document as a template. At this point I'm not sure how to proceed with testing and so forth. The reason I'm unsure is that some of my parms in the server config document reference administrators, and some person (administrator) groups and I'm not sure what will happen the next time I start the server and if the process is influenced by this server config document (which contain references to persons and person groups which haven't been created yet). I do want to set up these person groups just like those on my mail server just for consistency. Only myself and another person will be administrators to this CA domain and will be the only ones to have direct access to it via the administrator client. Long story short - is there or does anyone know of a simple checklist to use when creating a new server? I've searched the domino 6 forum, and domino400-l and looked through all the redbooks but haven't stumbled onto anything useful. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
