Glad that's not your problem then... Mine was created about 2 weeks ago 
after a server crash and it's 1.2GB now with 1.2 million entries! When I 
had my problem with logging and DASD it was using about 40GB. I have a 
simple cleanup utility (CL Program) that I run most every time I bounce my 
server. Part of that utility deletes the domlog.nsf:

RMVLNK     OBJLNK('/LOTUS/DOMINO/hqmail01/diagindex*') 
RMVLNK     OBJLNK('/LOTUS/DOMINO/HQMAIL01/IDB*') 
RMVLNK     OBJLNK('/LOTUS/DOMINO/HQMAIL01/*.TMP') 
RMVLNK     OBJLNK('/LOTUS/DOMINO/HQMAIL01/DOMLOG.NSF') 
RMVLNK     OBJLNK('/LOTUS/DOMINO/hqmail01/IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT/htthr*')

You may want to check for IDB*, *.TMP, diagindex*, and htthr* files as I 
have above. But I doubt that's the issue.

What version of OS/400 are you running and also what version of Domino?

I don't believe that compacting would help either because that's only 
going to clean up the "white space". If DBs are growing then there will 
likely not be any white space because it should, theoretically, be 
overwritten by new documents.

In the Admin client you have a couple of options. You can:

1 - Click the Files tab and look at your mail directory (or other 
directories with highly utilized files) and there is a column for "Space 
Used". You can sort that column and get a general idea as to whether 
compacting will work for you.
2 - Click the Server tab, then Analysis tab, then expand Notes Log, then 
expand Databases, then look at the Sizes view. You can track this for a 
couple of days and see which files are growing.
