Jerry,

What V#R# are you at?

If you are at V5R3 then the "traditional" http server is gone and I believe that wrkhttpcfg gone or at least ineffective.

I always use the *ADMIN interface (http://yourserver:2001) to work with the HTTP/Websphere servers other than Domino's HTTP. You can go into the config of each server and it will show * for all IPs or a specific IP number if it is bound.

Depending on what you want to do as a CA you can use the Digital Certificate Manager (DCM) in the *ADMIN to be your own CA. You will need the free Cryptographic OS feature (57##-AC3) for this route. If you are already using SSL on this system then DCM is already in use and your certificates are either from a public CA or your own CA.

If the *ADMIN instance isn't running, you can start it from a command line with STRTCPSVR SERVER(HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

Good Luck,

I'm in the process of creating a domino web server so that I can become my own certificate authority. My goal is to set this up as a separate ip addressed partitioned server. On my iSeries box, I have domino up and running as my production email server. Also on this box are other http servers such as webfacing and iSeries Access for web. I want to use this same box now for my CA server too.

I'm using the Installing and Managing Domino 6.5 for iSeries book as my inital reference.

I've changed my mail server config parm for ADVSVR(*partition), and have created the TCP interface.

I'm at the point (chapter 16) where I need to ensure I'm avoiding conflicts between iSeries HTTP and Domino HTTP. Since I'm using different ip addresses, the manual tells me use the bindspecific and hostname directives in wrkhttpcfg to change the server so that it binds to a specific address. Doesn't sound too hard but I can't find any examples of how this is done. I'd like to buy a vowel as I just don't have a clue as to how to assign these directives. Any input is appreciated.

Also is there any way to tell if the iSeries HTTP servers are already bound to their respective IP address?

Regards, Jerry
