I was being intentionally dense just to make sure I understood you.
In the Windows world, I would downgrade a server the same way I would
downgrade a client -- haven't tested this, though -- by removing the old
code as best I could and installing fresh with the "new" code.
The likelihood is that at least some files are checked during the
install/upgrade process for dates and the newest file date would win.
Since code from 6.5.3 would presumably be newer than 6.5.2, the 6.5.3 code
would remain, at least in part -- the problem being that it might not be
compatible with everything from 6.5.2. With Windows, I would particularly
be concerned with DLL incompatibility. I don't code for the iSeries, so I
don't know if there would be similar issues there, but would try to avoid
them, nevertheless.
It would be an intersting experiment to "update" down a release. I hope
you have time to try it and let us know how it goes.

I had never tried on v5 before -- sorry for being unclear.

A Windows Domino admin told me he had to "downgrade" 6= .5.3 back to
6.5.2
after upgrading due to some Directory issues he encounte= red. I was
just
curious if similar functionality exists in the iSerie= s world.
One of these days when time permits I'l= l create a new 6.5.3 server
instance then try to "update" to 6.5.2

Hi All,
Once on = version 6.x, is it pos= sible to "downgrade" the domino
server ?
&= nbsp; i.e. go from v6.5.3 to 6.5.2= .
Will running UPDDOMSV= R work to a previous vers= ion ?
